As Christ Lutheran High moves from vision to reality, we want to give you a clear picture of what it will take, where every dollar will go, and how each step builds toward a lasting ministry for our youth.

We are continually reminded that we are building a ministry that will impact students, families, churches, and communities for generations to come. Pursuing accreditation will ensure that we lead with sound practices and sustain superior outcomes.

Our Board of Directors believes that every individual has a distinct identity, value, and purpose. The Christ Lutheran High education model will combine traditional Christian education with components of several other models to prepare students to become strong Christian leaders in all walks of life.

We’re often asked, “why now” when we share our vision for launching a Lutheran High School in eastern Iowa. In addition to the urging God placed on our hearts, there are a few tangible reasons influencing the timing of this mission.

A strong leader guides, inspires, and encourages others toward meaningful goals while developing the people and culture around them. Christian leadership, however, is filtered through the lens of Christ.

Christ Lutheran High School (CLHS), together with Zion Lutheran Church – Hiawatha, is proud to announce that they have finalized an agreement to allow CLHS to use space at Zion to launch classes.

A true and complete education is one that meets the physical, emotional, intellectual, social, and spiritual needs of students. Christ Lutheran High School, in partnership with the family, will be concerned for the whole person, starting with a firm foundation in the Christian faith.

We are all very eager for the vision of a Lutheran High School to take shape through concrete developments like buildings, staffing, and student enrollment, but there are many layers to laying a solid foundation that amplify the value of the more tangible developments — one of those layers is choosing a name.
